Track 1 is an alternative mix of the track from Modern Misfit
Track 2 was the first thing I recorded in my home studio, as well as the first thing I put towards my solo project. Released March 2013 to promote the beginning of my recording of what would become Modern Misfit
Track 3 is an early demo of Headlights
Tracks 4 & 5 are demos demos recorded on my cell phone for the album
Track 6 is a demo I recorded but never followed up on. I dunno know why, I guess I just forgot about it. It’s good though, which is rare, cus most of the stuff I write is crap.
Tracks 7 & 8 were originally intended to be on a second disc for Modern Misfit (explaining why I say the album is 35 minutes longer than it actually is in one of the tracks). The second disc was scraped, most of the other tracks ended up on the One Wall album. These did not.
Tracks 9 & 10 were originally part of a limited release single (Good To You, b/w Gotta Get Away), containing slightly different mixes than on the album.
Track 11 was originally intended for a Good To You style single release, with a new mix and b-side and everything, but after the low amount of downloads (2) Good To You received, it was scraped. I haven’t released folk single since (although I did release a single with two b-side, Tenks, for my new rap album)
Tracks 12-17 are unmixed songs that were intended to be featured on an EP entitled Cocking a Loaded Bun, which was to come out shortly after Modern Misfit. The tracks were sent for Phil Zeo for him to give his opinions. After he gave his thoughts on the release I kind of lost faith in the songs and scraped the EP.
Track 18 is this Christmas song that we all jammed on in sophomore year concert band during the holidays. I recorded a little bit on my cell phone. Though it did get annoying by the end of December when people kept playing that same frickin’ song.
Tracks 19 & 20 are covers I recorded in between big bulks of material I did for Modern Misfit.
Tracks 21 & 22 are run through of Closed Eye Visuals I did before going into the studio. One with vocals, one without.
Tracks 23-25 are pretty simple electric guitar parts I thought of and recorded for the sake of not wanting to forget them
Track 26 is a song I wrote with my friend Joe DiToro in this band we were in in middle school. This particular recording was one of many, one of which was part of my first demo album, I Don’t Know, by The Stingrays. It’s probably still somewhere online. I’d be really embarrassed If somebody found it, but also really nostalgic for the past, so go ahead and look for it.
Track 27 is a song that was originally going to be a collaboration between me and Giorgio Gutierrez, who managed me During the Modern Misfit era. Finished product is probably online somewhere, go find it if you want.
Tracks 28 & 29 were demonstration recordings I made for myself before the recording of Modern Misfit.
Track 30 is a demo I recorded with the intention of putting on Modern Misfit before realizing it was bad
